January in Review

Lower my goal of books to read during the year has been a breathe of fresh air.  It has allowed me to really enjoy the books I read, plus I can read/listen to some longer books than I normally would have read in previous years.  Reading for pleasure has been wonderful.  Having a set number of reviews to post a month has also been wonderful.  This has allowed me to really write a little more in depth review on the books I choose.  And the 2011 DAC is introducing me to some wonderful new authors (glad I limited myself to one year long challenge).  All around taking some of the pressure off to read as many books and just to revel in the pleasure of reading has been good for me.

Here is what I read/reviewed this past month:

1. Delirium by Lauren Oliver (completed January 2)
2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (completed January 4)
3. The Treasure Map of Boys: Noel, Jackson, Finn, Hutch, Gideon - and me, Ruby Oliver by E. Lockhart (completed January 7)
4. The Titian's Curse (audio) by Rick Riordan (completed January 7)
5. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand (completed January 9) [DAC]
6. Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly (completed January 15)
7. Real Live Boyfriends by E. Lockhart (completed January 16)
8. Sphdz Book #2 by Jon Scieszka (completed January 16)
9. Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton (completed January 21) [DAC]
10. Nightshade (audio) by Andrea Cremer (completed January 24)
11. Heart of a Samurai by Margi Preus (completed January 25)
